Hosting a Next.js site
Vercel versus self-hosting, briefly.
Next.js runs anywhere Node.js runs, but the easiest path for most teams is Vercel, which is built by the same company.
Vercel
Zero-config deployments, preview URLs for every branch, image optimisation and edge caching. The free tier is fine for small sites; costs scale with traffic.
Self-hosting
A VPS or container platform gives you full control and predictable pricing, but you own the build pipeline, caching and TLS. Reasonable for teams that already run infrastructure. Hostinger is one provider that sells VPS hosting (affiliate link below); we have not benchmarked it for Next.js.
